Lara Dutta who was last seen in the comedy-drama web series Kaun Banegi Shikharwati has reportedly tested positive for Coronavirus. The actress becomes the latest celebrity to contract the virus. It is stated that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also sealed her residence.

According to the Times Of India, on Friday, the BMC officials have also declared the area as a ‘micro containment zone’. Meanwhile, the report also stated that the Aan: Men at Work actress is the only member to contract Coronavirus from her family. However, the actress is yet to confirm the news.

Recently, she was in the limelight after she rejected a role in Keanu Reeves-starrer The Matrix franchise in 2001. She told Hindustan Times: “I just had to be with my mother at the time. I did not even think twice and came back to India. I just had to be with my mother at the time since she was unwell, extremely unwell. Therefore I did not even think twice and came back to India.”

Lara is best known for starring in films such as Bhagam Bhag, Kaal, Partner, Chalo Dilli, the Don series of films and Welcome To New York, to name a few.

On the work front, the Bhagam Bhag actress Bell Bottom was also seen in Bell Bottom alongside Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor  and Huma Qureshi where she played the role of Indira Gandhi. The actress even received an award for the same.

She was also seen in digital shows like Hiccups and Hookups, which is a remake of the Hulu series Casual with Prateik Babbar, Meiyang Chang, and Shinnova. She also starred in Hundred which released in 2020 alongside Rinku Rajguru in the lead.
