Not Ram Charan and Jr NTR, Lauren Gottlieb announces she will dance to RRR song Naatu Naatu at Oscars 2023

Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer RRR is currently in the news as the song Naatu Naatu is nominated in the Best Original Song category at the Oscars. For the uninitiated, Naatu Naatu will be performed live by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava at the 95^th Academy Awards. Now, actor-dancer Lauren Gottlieb, who was a runner-up in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa season 6, announced that will be dancing on the song.

Lauren to dance at RRR’s Naatu Naatu song

Lauren took to her Instagram and shared the good news with her fans. The actor-dancer shared a picture of herself posing with Los Angeles’ iconic Hollywood sign in the background. She captioned the pics, “SPECIAL NEWS!!! I’m performing on Naatu Naatu at the OSCARS!!!!! I’m beyond excited to represent India on the most prestigious stage in the world. Wish me luck!!!!”

Reacting to her post, a fan dropped a comment saying, “So proud of you baby! Going to kill it.” Another fan commented, “WHAT!! No way!! Yess Lauren huge congrats!! You don’t need luck, know you’ll smash it! I am now excited for the Oscars.”

Earlier, in an interview, Jr NTR informed fans that Ram Charan and he will not be performing on the song. Speaking with KTLA, Jr NTR had said, “I don’t think that’s happening (him and Ram Charan dancing to Naatu Naatu). I was looking forward for it to happen. But, unfortunately, we didn’t have time to rehearse. Because we don’t want to go on to the biggest stage in the world and go unprepared.”

Jr NTR added, “So, we were busy, I was busy and so was maybe Charan was busy with a lot of prior commitments back home. So, I don’t think we will be performing but our music director (MM Keeravani), the singers of the song Rahul Sipligunj, and my brother Kaala Bhairava, they will be performing the song.”

RRR song Naatu Naatu will be competing against Applause, Hold My Hand, Life Me Up, and This Is A Life. The 95^th Academy Awards will take place on 12^th March, 2023.
