Madhuri Dixit pens an emotional note as she remembers late mother: Woke up this morning to find Aai’s room empty

It is a difficult time for actress Madhuri Dixit and her family. The actress’ mother Snehlata Dixit passed away at the age of 90 on Sunday. A day after her death, Madhuri Dixit took to her Instagram and shared a priceless picture with her mother. The Fame Game actress also penned an emotional note as she remembered her late mom.

The actress shared the pic on Instagram along with the caption, “Woke up this morning to find Aai’s room empty. It feels surreal. She taught us to embrace and celebrate life. She gave so much to so many people.”

Madhuri added, “We will miss her dearly but she will live on in our memories. Her wit, positivity and grace were infectious. We will celebrate her life together through our memories. Om Shanti Om.”

Madhuri was very close to her mother Snehlata Dixit.

The actress’ emotional post received love from fans and friends. Juhi Chawla, who is a good friend of Madhuri, dropped a comment saying, “Heartfelt condolences Madhuri (praying hands emoji) May her soul rest in peace. Om Shanti.”

On Sunday, Madhuri and Dr Shriram Nene shared a joint statement that read, “Our beloved Aai (mother), Snehlata, passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by her loved ones.” Snehlata Dixit’s funeral took place in Mumbai. Several pictures of a teary-eyed Madhuri greeting paps with folded hands were shared on social media.
