Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor have once again taken fans down memory lane. Nearly three decades after Dil To Pagal Hai became a cultural phenomenon, the two stars reunited to recreate the iconic hookstep of the song Le Gayi. A behind-the-scenes clip from the upcoming episode of India’s Best Dancer Season 5 has now gone viral across social media.

In the video shared by the channel’s official Instagram page, Madhuri and Karisma dance together to the hit track before warmly hugging each other on stage. While Madhuri appeared elegant in a black floral saree, Karisma stunned in a stylish black outfit.
The nostalgic moment instantly struck a chord with fans online. Social media users flooded the comments section with emotional reactions and memories associated with the film and the song. One fan wrote, “Madhuri’s charm and Karisma’s energy is a perfect combo.” Another commented, “Two divas just crushing it.” A third user wrote, “SRK should also have been here.” Another fan demanded, “Dil Toh Pagal Hai 2 hojaaye.” One social media user simply called them the “Iconic duo.”
Why This Moment Is Iconic
Le Gayi remains one of the most loved songs from Dil To Pagal Hai. The song featured Karisma Kapoor alongside Shah Rukh Khan and became especially popular for Karisma’s energetic dance performance. Asha Bhosle and Udit Narayan sang the song, while Uttam Singh composed the music and Anand Bakshi wrote the lyrics.
Released in 1997, Dil To Pagal Hai starred Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. The film emerged as a massive commercial success and also won three National Film Awards, including Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Karisma Kapoor additionally won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film.
