Yesteryear actress Madhuri Dixit is quite an animal lover. Out of love, the dancing queen of Bollywood had adopted a female dog 7 years back. Madhuri named her little furry friend ‘Riya’ and brought her up with utmost care. Riya was already 5-year-old when the actress had decided to make her a part of the family.

And recently when Riya left for a heavenly abode, Madhuri was extremely saddened. Coming back to Madhuri’s cutie, she passed away last week after battling with cancer.

Her mother, Madhuri, if we can say, remembered their good old days together in a small video. Taking to Instagram, Madhuri also posted a short note for her lovely along with the video. She wrote, “My dearest Riya, as we said Goodbye to you this week, it brings back so many memories of the first day when we rescued you and brought you home. You were skinny and your hair was falling out but the spark in your eyes and innocence on your face made me fall in love with you instantly. Now, 7 years later all I can remember is your tiny little paws, mischievous eyes and how you filled our lives with so much joy. Thank you for your unconditional love. I pray that you are happy and in peace now. You will always hold a special place in our hearts and our family will forever remain incomplete without you.”

Riya was definitely beyond adorable and we can feel what the actress must have gone through post her demise. Anyway, talking about her professional front, the actress will be next seen in ‘Kalank’ featuring Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha in pivotal roles.
