Mallika Dua pens an emotional letter as her father Vinod Dua passes away

Actor-comedian Mallika Dua’s father, veteran journalist Vinod Dua is no more. He passed away on Saturday, December 4. Vinod Dua was 67. Mallika Dua took to her Instagram stories and informed everyone about the demise of her father. She shared the news and mentioned details about the last rites. The actress shared a picture of Vinod Dua and penned an emotional letter along with it. Mallika Dua informed that father Vinod Dua’s last rites will be performed on December 5, Sunday, at 12 PM the Lodhi crematorium in New Delhi.

In her note, the Zero actress wrote, “Our irreverent, fearless and extraordinary father, Vinod Dua has passed away.”

She added, “He lived an inimitable life, rising from the refugee colonies of Delhi to the peak of journalistic excellence for over 42 years, always, always speaking truth to power.”

Mallika Dua, who lost her mother, Dr Padmavati Dua after a long battle to COVID-19 in June this year further wrote, “He is now with our mom, his beloved wife Chinna in heaven where they will continue to sing, cook, travel and drive each other up the wall.”

Earlier this week, Vinod Dua was critical and admitted to the ICU. The actress had shared an update on her father on Friday. She had even urged everyone to not spread death rumours about Vinod Dua. He was admitted to a Delhi hospital.

Back in June 2021, informing everyone about her mother’s demise, Mallika Dua had said, “Mallika took to her Instagram and wrote, “She left us last night. My whole heart. My whole life. The only god I know. My Amma I’m sorry I couldn’t save you. You fought so hard my mama. My precious. My heart. You’re my whole life.”
