#MeToo: Female junior artist molested on the sets of ‘Housefull 4’, files complaint

With each passing day, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Housefull 4′ is getting entangled in new controversies. Earlier, it was its director Sajid Khan and actor Nana Patekar’s name appearing on the alleged offenders’ list. Then both of them stepped down as Akshay Kumar announced that the shooting of the film has been cancelled until further investigations are completed.

Yesterday, we came across a report of a worker’s death on the sets of the film. And today, reports of a female junior artist filing a complaint after she was allegedly molested on the sets of the film have been doing the rounds. In her complaint, the women also claimed that while the incident happened with her, actors Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh were also present on the sets.

ANI Tweeted about the women’s complaint, “A female junior artist was allegedly molested by a man, who was among six men who were manhandling another junior artist, at the sets of film Housefull 4 at Chitrakoot studio, last night. FIR has been registered.”

Sharing her ordeal, the women in a statement said, “I was sitting with a colleague when suddenly two men Pawan Shetty, Sagar and four others came and tried to take away my colleague forcefully. They also threatened and I tried to stop them. Shetty started pushing me and touched my private parts. I’ve filed a molestation case. I want him behind bars.”

The female junior artist also said that it was Akshay who asked her to file a complaint with the police. We wonder what’s in store in future for ‘Housefull 4’ as with every passing day, the film is facing a new hurdle.
