Mimi aka Kriti Sanon congratulates AR Rahman as film’s soundtrack is submitted for 64th Grammy Awards

The film Mimi has a special place in the hearts of one and all. Kriti Sanon managed to win the hearts of the audience with her stellar performance in Mimi. She portrayed the role of a surrogate mother who faces many challenges during her pregnancy. The interesting music from the film is also keeping listeners hooked. On Tuesday, October 19, music composer-singer AR Rahman made a post on his social media handle and announced that his score for the film Mimi has been submitted for the Grammy Awards. Mimi actress Kriti Sanon went on and congratulated AR Rahman. Kriti took to her Twitter and re-tweeted the tweet made by AR Rahman.

Taking to Twitter, AR Rahman informed everyone that his soundtrack for the film Mimi has been submitted for the 64th Grammy Awards. Making the announcement, AR Rahman tweeted, ““I am so excited to share that my sound track for visual media “MIMI” been has submitted to the 64th GRAMMY®️ Awards, For Your Consideration. Here is a link. Thank You!! –“(sic)” The original soundtrack of Mimi was composed by AR Rahman while the lyrics were by Amitabh Bhattachary.

Reacting to the post, Kriti Sanon tweeted, “Wow!!! Congratulations sir!! (sic)” The Mimi actress even added a few clap emojis and a red heart emoji to the congratulatory tweet that she made.

AR Rahman is a recipient of two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, and has several other Indian accolades to his achievements.

Talking about Mimi, the film is directed by Laxman Utekar. It stars Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar in key roles. The movie was a remake of the 2011 Marathi film titled Mala Aai Vhhaychy! Mimi was released on July 26 on Netflix.
