There are many celebrities who made their Cannes debut this year. For the uninitiated, Sara Ali Khan, Mrunal Thakur, Manushi Chhillar and Bigg Boss 11 fame Sapna Choudhary have already walked the red carpet for the first time at Cannes. Joining the list is Mouni Roy. Mouni Roy will be making her debut at the esteemed 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

Here’s what Mouni said about her Cannes debut…

Mouni is thrilled to be a part of the prestigious event. The Brahmastra actress earlier shared excitement about her Cannes debut and said, “I am exhilarated to announce my debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.” She further called it an ‘incredible opportunity’ and added that she ‘cannot wait to showcase my unique style and passion for cinema on this global platform’.

Mouni’s journey from TV to Bollywood…

Mouni Roy is one of the most loved actresses in the industry. With hard work and talent, she has successfully carved a niche for herself in the industry. She made her acting debut with the TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and then there was no looking back for her. Later, she went on to win hearts with her performance in the sequel of Ektaa Kapoor’s hit show Naagin.

After ruling the TV industry, Mouni made her Hindi film debut with Gold. The actress was paired opposite Akshay Kumar in her debut film. Fans loved Akshay and Mouni’s chemistry in the sports film. After stepping into Bollywood, Mouni starred in Romeo Akbar Walter with John Abraham.

Last year, Mouni delivered a terrific performance in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. The actress played the role of Junoon in the same. Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna.

In April this year, Ayan announced Brahmastra 2 and 3. The filmmaker revealed Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev will release in December 2026 and Brahmastra: Part Three will hit the theatres in 2027.
