Guess who is back? Your favourite matchmaker in town, Sima Taparia. Popularly known as Sima Aunty, the popular matchmaker is back to match potential bride and grooms yet again. Looks like the stars have aligned and the streaming platform has now renewed Indian Matchmaking for a second season. The matchmaking series sparked multiple conversations around the world. In fact, Matchmaker Sima Taparia recently earned a nomination at the 73rd Emmy® Awards.

About winning an Emmy nomination, Sima Taparia had said, “I am delighted to hear about Indian Matchmaking’s nomination at the 73rd Primetime Emmy® Awards. We couldn’t have asked for a better gift to celebrate one year of the show. Working with Netflix was a great experience and I’m looking forward to continuing this thrilling association.” Sima Taparia became a household name in the country post the show. Netflix also announced the next magnum opus Heeramandi this morning which will mark their first collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The filmmaker completed 25 years in the industry recently. As per reports, Heera Mandi will be headlined by Richa Chadha but nothing has been confirmed on the cast as yet.
