Dharmendra was deeply attached to his ancestral property, which he ultimately entrusted to his nephews. His sudden passing on November 24, 2025, shocked fans across the nation. As the first superstar to carve a legendary image that has stood the test of time, Dharmendra left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. Even after his death, fans find it hard to believe he is no longer with us. The legendary actor battled health issues before taking his last breath. However, many are unaware that his ancestral property in Punjab is not owned by any of his children.
Dharmendra’s Rs 5 Cr Worth Ancestral Property Is Owned By Boot Singh
Recent reports reveal that none of Dharmendra’s children from both marriages have rights to his ancestral land in Punjab. Instead, he had already gifted it to his nephews. For context, Dharmendra was born in Nasrali, with roots in Dango, Ludhiana, Punjab. He spent the first three years of his childhood there, living in a simple mud-and-brick home. Today, that modest dwelling, which holds his childhood memories, is valued in crores and has been maintained by his relatives for decades.
Even after relocating to Mumbai to pursue his film career, Dharmendra never severed his ties with his homeland. Reports suggest that he often visited his ancestral house during the filming of his 2013 movie. It is believed that in 2025, he legally transferred the ownership of this land to those who preserved it in his absence.
According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, Dharmendra had long ago entrusted the property to his uncle’s children. Though he amassed significant wealth in Mumbai, his love for his land remained unwavering. To secure the future of his family, he decided to transfer the nearly 2.5 acres of ancestral land to his uncle’s grandson.
The property is valued at around Rs. 5 crore and is now in the possession of his nephews. One of them, Boot Singh, continues to work at a textile mill in Ludhiana. A relative shared that Dharmendra never cared much for the property’s monetary value. For him, it was a simple home filled with emotional significance.
