I will not leave Aryan Khan alone in jail: Co-accused and star kid’s friend Arbaaz Merchant tells dad they will leave together

Aryan Khan and his friend Arbaaz Merchant was arrested by the NCB along with other accused on a cruise party. Aryan was sent to Arthur Road Jail along with the others in the drug case and his bail is yet to be approved by the court. Amid this, Aslam Merchant, Arbaaz’ father revealed that he was ‘touched’ to hear his son standing strong by Aryan. When Aslam went to meet his son in jail, Arbaaz said that he will not leave without Aryan.

Aslam told ETimes, “Innocent kids should not be punished even before trial. As I was leaving, Arbaaz told me, ‘Dad, I will not leave Aryan alone in jail and no harm should be caused to Aryan. We all have come in together here and will leave together from here.’ I was so touched by those words; for him friendship is supreme.”

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan was also spotted earlier last week visiting son Aryan Khan at the Arthur Road Jail. This was his first public appearance since Aryan’s arrest. An official had told PTI that the meeting lasted for 15-20 minutes and four guards were present along with them.

Aryan’s bail hearing took place yesterday at the Bombay High Court, but no verdict was announced as the hearing will continue today at 2:30 pm. Aryan’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi had said that Aryan had no possession or consumption of drugs and so he should not be in jail. Rohatgi also suggested that the young boys should be sent to rehab and not on trial.
