Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘PadMan’ is surely expected to start a discussion in the country regarding menstrual hygiene. It’s the first film starring a superstar which has periods as its basic concept. Just yesterday, I & B Minister, Smriti Irani watched the movie at a special screening in New Delhi. She also participated in a panel discussion on menstrual hygiene post the screening.

Irani took to Twitter to inform everyone about it. She tweeted, “Participated in a Panel Discussion on menstrual hygiene awareness with the star cast of @PadManTheFilm and original Padman Mr Arunachalam Muruganantham after a special screening organised by @UNinIndia.”

Reportedly, even PM Narendra Modi was invited to watch the film. However, it looks like due to his busy schedule PM couldn’t attend the screening.
