Parineeti Chopra on ‘Kesari’: I did this film just for a romantic song with Akshay Kumar

Parineeti Chopra is one of the most talented actresses around and she has really come a long way in the Hindi film industry. Parineeti will next be seen in ‘Kesari’ opposite Akshay Kumar. She is extremely proud of the movie and believes that it will stand the test of time.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Parineeti spoke about her role in the film. “When Karan (Johar) called me for the role, I didn’t ask him about the number of scenes I would be in. This is not that kind of a film. Fifty years from now, I can proudly say that ‘Kesari’ is a part of my filmography. Most other films that I or any other actor does, there are equal parts. But I wanted to work with Karan, Anurag (Singh) and Akshay sir,” she told the tabloid.

She also added that she fell in love with a romantic song from the film. “When Karan played the song for me I fell in love with it. Now, it’s a running joke between us that I did this film just for that song,” she said.

On the work front, Parineeti also has ‘Jabariya Jodi’ with Sidharth Malhotra releasing soon. Akshay will be seen in ‘Good News’ and ‘Housefull 4’.

‘Kesari’ is scheduled to release on 21st March, 2019.
