#MeToo: Actress Payal Ghosh accuses Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment; requests PM Narendra Modi to take action

Actress Payal Ghosh has made a serious allegation on filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. She has claimed in her tweet that Kashyap forced himself on her. She has tagged PM Narendra Modi in her tweet and requested him to take action against Anurag.

Payal tweeted, “@anuragkashyap72 has forced himself on me and extremely badly. @PMOIndia @narendramodi ji, kindly take action and let the country see the demon behind this creative guy. I am aware that it can harm me and my security is at risk. Pls help!”

Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of National Commission for Women, replied to Payal’s tweet and asked her for a detailed complaint. She wrote, “You may send me the detailed complaint at chairperson-ncw@nic.in and @NCWIndia will look into it.” Payal replied back saying that she will do so.

Kangana Ranaut who has been at loggerheads with Anurag Kashyap supported Payal and tweeted, “Every voice matters #MeToo #ArrestAnuragKashyap”.

Anurag is yet to respond to Payal’s allegation.
