Anurag Kashyap’s dark, gritty legal drama ‘Bandar’, featuring a powerhouse lead performance by Bobby Deol, continues its uphill battle at the domestic box office as it enters its first Tuesday. The adult-rated film carried immense critical momentum from its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Bandar Box Office
Bandar began its box office journey with a muted domestic net collection of Rs. 0.50 crore across 1,365 shows. Early positive word-of-mouth reviews, which started to kick in on Day 2 (Friday), helped the film see modest growth. The crime drama’s collections increased to Rs. 0.95 crore net on Day 2, bringing its two-day total to Rs. 1.45 crore net.
On Day 3 (Sunday), the film achieved its best theatrical traction, earning Rs. 1.00 crore net over 1,076 optimised shows. On its first Monday, Anurag Kashyap’s crime drama earned Rs 0.03 Cr. It accumulated a total India net of Rs 2.48 crore. The overall gross of Bandar in India is Rs 2.94 crore.
