India is currently battling the second wave of Covid-19. In this time of crisis, several celebs and production houses have done their bit to help the Covid affected people. Now, the makers of Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam have also joined the bandwagon as they have come forward to help India fight this crisis. The makers have donated the property of a hospital set to a private hospital in Hyderabad. It was used during the shooting of Radhe Shyam. The hospital set has 50 custom beds, stretchers, PPE suits, medical equipment stands, and oxygen cylinders. As per reports, the set cost around Rs 6 crore.

Ravinder Reddy, Radhe Shyam’s production designer, confirmed the news and told Deccan Chronicle, “These beds have been custom designed; they are big, strong and are patient-friendly. They have all the comforts that a bed-ridden patient can leverage.”

Ravinder came to know about the shortage of hospital beds and oxygen cylinders when he contacted a CEO of a private hospital for a bed to admit a relative. When the CEO said that there were no beds available, he realised the gravity of the issue. Then he asked Radhe Shyam’s filmmakers if they could contribute the hospital set for the Covid-19 patients. The makers immediately agreed to it.

The shooting of Radhe Shyam is almost complete. So, the makers had dismantled the set and transported it to a warehouse in the city. The medical equipment from the warehouse was transported to the hospital in nine trucks. Ravinder revealed that the team of the film including Prabhas are happy with this decision.

Talking about the film, it also stars Pooja Hegde, Satyaraj, Bhagyashree, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Jagapati Babu, Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murli Sharma, Shasha Chettri, Priyadarshi, Riddhi Kumar Satyan among others. Radhe Shyam will release in 5 different languages- Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. It is slated to hit the screens on July 30.
