Adipurush: Massive fire breaks out on the sets of Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan starrer

Earlier today Prabhas had announced that his upcoming film Adipurush has gone on floors. The Om Raut directorial also stars Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. While everyone was gung ho about shooting the film, reportedly a massive fire appears to have broken out on the set of the film on the first day.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, a few hours back, a fire broke down on the Mumbai sets of Om Raut’s magnum opus Adipurush. The incident resulted due to a short circuit. Fortunately, no causality has been reported. Also the film’s lead actors Prabhas and Saif were not a part of this shoot.

Speaking about the incident, a source was quoted saying in Pinkvilla as, “It happened due to short circuit and the entire chroma set up went into ashes. However, it eventually came under control and no casualties have been reported. Om Raut and his entire team are safe.” The report further stated that the fire brigade rushed to the spot in no time and the situation was brought under control.

Adipurush is based on Indian mythology, with Prabhas essaying the role of Lord Ram and Saif will play the role of King Ravan. Reportedly, actress Kriti Sanon will be portraying the role of Sita in this mythology drama. Mounted on a huge scale the motion capture of Adipurush had commenced on January 21. Reportedly the film will hit the silver screens on August 11, 2022.
