Ranveer Singh Rocks New Look On Pralay Sets

Ranveer Singh has begun shooting for his upcoming zombie action thriller Pralay in Mumbai. While production on the ambitious project reportedly began in mid-August, the first photos and videos from the sets have only now surfaced online through various fan accounts. The actor was spotted in a rugged new avatar while shooting alongside his co-stars. Sporting longer hair and stubble, Ranveer was seen filming on a dusty, post-apocalyptic-looking set featuring abandoned cars and muddy roads.

Video From Pralay Sets Goes Viral

A video circulating online shows Ranveer walking through the setting alongside a group of people, including actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, who is making her Bollywood debut with the film. In the sequence, Ranveer is also seen carrying a child on his back for the shot. After completing the take, the actor lets the child climb off his back and return towards the cameras.

About Pralay

Directed by Jai Mehta, known for Lootere and for co-directing Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story with Hansal Mehta, Pralay is being positioned as an ambitious survival drama. The film is set in a near-future Mumbai devastated by a deadly pandemic and a subsequent zombie outbreak. Pralay marks Ranveer’s first major project following the success of Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2, which collectively grossed over Rs 3,000 crore at the Indian box office.

While the shoot is currently underway, reports state that Ranveer will likely take a break from filming once his wife, Deepika Padukone, gives birth to the couple’s second child. The actor has reportedly sought paternity leave to be with his family as they welcome their newest addition, who is expected to arrive later this month.
