Dhurandhar The Revenge has finally made its OTT debut internationally, and viewers overseas are getting to watch a far more intense version of the film than Indian theatrical audiences did. Streaming on Netflix as Dhurandhar: The Revenge – Raw and Uncut, the Aditya Dhar directorial features several extended scenes, graphic moments, and uncensored dialogues that were either toned down or removed from the theatrical release in India.
Dhurandhar The Revenge ‘Raw And Uncut’ Is On OTT
While Indian fans continue to wait for the film’s digital premiere on JioHotstar, international subscribers have already begun discussing the differences between the two versions online. The overseas OTT release dropped on May 14, nearly eight weeks after the film’s theatrical release. However, reports suggest the Indian streaming version will likely remain identical to the CBFC-approved theatrical cut. Fans who watched the uncut version claim the film feels darker, bloodier, and more brutal overall. Several violent scenes that appeared trimmed in cinemas are reportedly shown in full on Netflix.
Violent Scene Included
One major difference is in the action sequences. Jaskirat’s violent introduction sequence, where he attacks a man using a hammer, is presented without cuts. Similarly, the climax sequence in Muridke — where Ranveer Singh’s character crushes a man’s head with a cement block — remains completely uncensored. Another extended sequence during the Lyari Gang War episode reportedly shows Hamza attacking a man using a burning fireball, with more graphic detailing than the theatrical version.
No MUTE Curse Words
The uncut edition also restores all the verbal abuses that were muted in theatres. Viewers noted that the dialogues now play without censorship. And the subtitles accurately reflect the profanity as intended in the original script.
The OTT version further expands on several violent moments involving beheadings. While Arshad Pappu’s beheading by Uzair Baloch was already among the film’s most shocking scenes, the extended cut reportedly adds more graphic visuals. One sequence during the Lyari Gang War allegedly shows Hamza killing gangsters using a metal shop shutter.
Another scene creating buzz online is Uzair Baloch playing football with Arshad Pappu’s severed head — a moment inspired by Pakistan’s urban folklore. The theatrical version only hinted at this incident, but the international OTT release reportedly depicts it explicitly. Fans also noticed an additional shot involving Uzair that was seen in the original trailer. However, it was missing from the cinema release.
Emotional Scenes Altered
Apart from the violence, some emotional scenes also appear altered. Viewers claim Jaskirat’s reaction following Pinda’s death has been changed. Ranveer Singh will be seen portraying a calmer and more restrained response compared to the theatrical cut.
