Radhe Shyam actress Pooja Hegde tests positive for COVID; isolates herself

Pooja Hegde has been shooting for various projects back-to-back. The actress has an impressive list of films lined up for the coming two years. From Cirkus to Bachchan Pandey, to Radhe Shyam, she has been on set most of the time. With the rising Covid cases, a lot of celebrities have contracted the virus owing to their work commitments and Pooja is the latest one to join the list.

She took to her Instagram story to inform that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently under home quarantine. The actress immediately isolated herself and has requested all those who came in contact with her, to get tested. While she also said she is recuperating well, she has been in touch with the doctors and has followed all the BMC protocols so far.

Pooja also thanked her well-wishers for the love and support and shared that she is feeling well. She wrote, “Thank you for your love and support I am currently recuperating well. Please stay home, stay safe and take care.” She used a folded-hands and a mask-wearing emoji in her tweet.

Pooja will be seen next in Prabhas-starrer Radhe Shyam, where she plays the role of Prerna. She also has Akhil Akkineni-starrer Most Eligible Bachelor, where she essays the role of a stand-up comedian.

In Acharya, the actress will be seen in an extended cameo as Neelambari, Ram Charan’s love interest. Pooja made her Tamil debut with Mugamoodi in 2012. Her Telugu debut was Oka Laila Kosam (2014). In 2016, the actress made her Bollywood debut with Mohenjo Daro. The actress recently celebrated 13 million followers on Instagram with an adorable post. She wrote, “13 million! Aahhhh… Thank you my lovelies…sending all of you big squishy hugs…muahh.”

Meanwhile, actors such as Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sameera Reddy and Nawab Shah have recently tested positive for Covid-19. Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal were also Covid-positive. All of them have tested negative now.
