Rajesh Sharma Health Update: Actor Is ‘A Little Better’ Now; Under Medical Supervision

Actor Rajesh Sharma has been in the news over the last couple of days as reports of his health deteriorating following an insect bite on the sets of Prabhas’ Fauji made the headlines. As fans, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) and Akshay Kumar take to social media and demand an investigation into the situation and hope he recovers soon, Sharma’s family friend, actor Sudipa Chatterjee has now shared an update about his health.

During an interaction with Hindustan Times, Sudipa Chatterjee revealed that Rajesh Sharma’s condition is improving and that he’s being regularly monitored. Chatterjee said, “He’s a little better now. It’s an unknown insect bite and tests are being done and his condition is being monitored. So treatment is on and the last two days he is much better.”

Sudipa further shared, “Rajesh ji mum is very old and his sister was abroad so he is our family friend. When we got to know about this we rushed to the hospital and that’s when I also gave an earlier statement.” She continued, “After he came back from Hyderabad and was home he was under a fever. Unhone socha bukhar hain and mosquito bite ho sakta toh chalo ghar. And he was home then after he felt uncomfortable he went to the nearby hospital where he was admitted.”

What Happened To Rajesh Sharma?

Rajesh Sharma – who recently returned from recently Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City after shooting for Prabhas-led Fauji, was admitted to Kolkata’s Manipal Hospital following a serious insect bite. Sharma’s friend, actor Sudipa Chatterjee took to her Instagram and shared a health update on the actor. In it, she noted that after wrapping up the shoot at Ramoji Film City, Rajesh was chatting with local technicians in an area surrounded by dense vegetation when he suffered an insect bite.

The actor – assuming it was just an insect bite, didn’t pay much attention to it, however, Chatterjee shared that around six hours later, he began experiencing severe pain in his right leg. His health deteriorated as he flew from Hyderabad to Kolkata, where he later developed a high fever. Following this, he was rushed to a hospital and continues receiving medical attendtion there.

Meanwhile, AICWA has written a letter to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy requesting a investigation into the incident. Akshay Kumar too took to social media and expressed concerns about Rajesh Sharma’s slow recovery.
