Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt starrer RRR went on a winning spree at the box office ever since its release. The SS Rajamouli directorial received positive reviews in India and abroad. But the film wasn’t chosen as India’s official entry to Oscars 2023. As per the latest update, the movie is back in the race and the Raazi star took to Instagram to express her joy.
The makers of the Magnum Opus have applied to “the Academy for Oscar consideration in the general category”. Alia Bhatt took to her Insta Stories to share the same and express her joy.

RRR has been submitted in 15 categories for the Oscars 2023 race which include Best Picture (DVV Danayya), Best Director (Rajamouli), Best Actor (Jr NTR and Ram Charan), Screenplay, Original Song, Score, Editing, Cinematography, Sound, Production Design, VFX to list a few.

Besides these Alia Bhatt is expected to compete in the Best Actress category. Ajay Devgn will compete for Best Supporting Actor category. The peppy number, Naatu Naatu has been submitted in the Best Original Song category.
For the unversed, RRR competed in the Oscars 2023 selection race. But the FFI selected the Gujarati film Chhello Show (Last Film Show) to represent India at the prestigious award ceremony. But looks like RRR still has a chance to bag an Oscar.
RRR is a fictional story based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
