Ram Leela – Depicting Hindu God’s poor taste

Ram leela has been into controversies since the time its trailer released. Now when it is close to its release and when we thought that Ram Leela is finally out of all the problems, yet another plea has been filed against the movie.

On November 7, a resident of Patna filed a plea in a local court demanding a ban on the release of the film. The reason cited by the complainant, Amit Arya, is the depiction of Hindu Gods in “poor taste” in the mujra song ‘Ram Chahe Leela’ performed by Priyanka Chopra.  The complainant also objected to the title of the film along with a copy of the trailer in a CD.

The movie is to release on 15th of November while the hearing of the plea is on the 11th of November.
