Ranbir Kapoor To Choose Between Dhoom 4 And Brahmastra 2 After Ramayana, Love And War

As Ranbir Kapoor considers his upcoming projects, Brahmastra 2 currently holds a slight edge over Dhoom 4. However, casting changes and development delays keep the final decision uncertain. Ranbir Kapoor is currently navigating one of the most pivotal phases of his career. He is already engaged with Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War. The discussions about his next move are already underway.

Ranbir Kapoor To Choose Between Brahmastra 2 And Dhoom 4

According to Pinkvilla, he is expected to complete his current commitments by October 2026. And, he is now narrowing down his options for the project that will precede filming of Animal Park. The two leading contenders for Ranbir’s next film are Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra 2 and Dhoom 4, backed by Yash Raj Films. Sources suggest that Ranbir is being cautious and is waiting for confirmed scripts before making a final call.

A source shared, “Ranbir has heard the ideas for both Brahmastra 2 and Dhoom 4, and has liked the worlds being created in each of them. However, he is awaiting bound scripts before making a final decision.”

Both projects face their own challenges. While Dhoom 4 is still in its early development stages and has yet to lock in a director, Brahmastra 2 is dealing with casting shifts. The sequel was originally intended to feature Deepika Padukone as Amrita. However, with Deepika expecting her second child, the makers are reportedly exploring a change in casting for that role.

Despite these hurdles, Brahmastra 2 currently appears to be the frontrunner. The source added, “Among Dhoom 4 and Brahmastra 2, right now Brahmastra is in the lead to be his next film. But as we know, things can change quickly in Bollywood, and several factors need to align for Brahmastra 2 to go on floors.”

RK’s Projects

Ranbir is expected to have more clarity by June 2026 once the final drafts are ready. Sandeep Reddy Vanga is reportedly committed to starting Animal Park by the end of 2027. He has already held multiple discussions with Ranbir about the project.
