Ranbir Kapoor is currently basking in the success of his latest super hit film ‘Sanju‘. The film which is based on the life of Bollywood’s most controversial man Sanjay Dutt is directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

The film had crossed the 200 crore mark in just 7 days and had become the fourth film to do so at the box office. Now, the actor is busy shooting for ‘Brahmastra’, first of the trilogy, to be produced under Karan Johar’s home banner Dharma Productions. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film also stars Ali Bhatt and Mouni Roy in lead roles.

Once Ranbir Kapoor finishes filming for ‘Brahmastra’, he will go on to shoot for YRF’s ‘Shamshera’ which is set to release in 2020.  In a recent interview with Deccan Chronicle, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actor had spilled the beans on his ‘Shamsher’ character, “It’s definitely a very aggressive, intense and angry character. It is set in the 1800s and it’s about a dacoit tribe who is fighting for their rights and independence.”

When asked about sharing screen space with Sanjay Dutt, he said, “It is an exciting space and Sanjay is playing an antagonist. Also, it is a new collaboration for me with Karan Malhotra. I am really looking forward to starting this project.”

Apart from the aforementioned projects, Ranbir Kapoor also has Luv Ranjan’s next which also stars Ajay Devgn. The leading lady of the film is yet to be finalized.
