Randeep Hooda is one such actor in Bollywood who is known for undergoing an extreme transformation for his roles, to do justice to the film characters. The actor had shredded off 18 kilos to get into the skin of his character in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer, ‘Sarbjit’. For those who don’t know, he had grown his natural beards and learned Sikh martial arts to portray the prominent lead character in ‘Battle Of Saragarhi’. Unfortunately, the film got shelved. Taking the time as opportune, Akshay Kumar had released ‘Kesari’ way before Randeep Hooda’s film could hit silver screens, as both the films were based on the great battle of Saragarhi. In a recent conversation, the ‘Love Aaj Kal’ actor reveals why he didn’t watch Khiladi Kumar’s version.

In a recent conversation with Mumbai Mirror, while talking about his film, he said, “It hurt that the audience could not see what would probably have been a more authentic version with more real emotions of the story. That apart, you learn to move on. Through the journey, I learned the principles of Sikhism and I’m a better person now.”

The actor was quizzed on whether he has watched Akshay Kumar’s film, ‘Kesari’. To which he replied, “Nope, it didn’t excite me much.”
