Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda who is at present shooting for his upcoming biopic is a true animal lover. The actor has recently adopted nine race horses dying of starvation and multiple diseases. He will be taking care of these horses at his Gurgaon farm and give them a new lease of life.

An animal welfare NGO ‘Friendicoes’ had rescued these 49 abandoned former racehorses who were on the verge of dying due to starvation on an Aligarh-based farmhouse, they were found eating plaster and debris out of hunger. They spent three years at a Gurgaon-based stud farm for treatment and rehabilitation. Seven horses died during treatment. Out of the 42 horses who survived, 18 more died due to multiple diseases. Now only 24 of them are left.

Randeep was moved by their plight and decided to do something for them, as he did not have any space for rehabilitation has gone ahead and bought a farmhouse in Gurgaon to take care of these lovely animals. He also wishes to get them back on the track and start racing again.

Randeep Hooda will be depicting the role of Sarbjit Singh in the upcoming biopic of the same name that has Aishwarya Rai playing his sister Dalbir Kaur.
