Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif to perform at IPL opening ceremony with Chris Brown

The opening of the 9th edition of Indian Premier League will have a host of celebrities performing. International American singer Chris Brown is all set to enthrall his Indian fans along with American reggae trio Major Lazer, Fuse ODG and Jamaican American recording artist Nailah Thorburne at the NSCI dome on April 8.

Chris was heard praising the IPL event. He said, “We are very excited to perform in India for the very first time. Looking forward to a crazy night of mayhem and meeting all my beautiful people in India. At IPL, we treat the whole city like one scene and we bring everyone out for music, food and just good energy all around. All of us in Major Lazer are excited to be back in India bringing a carnival to the fans.”

Among the Bollywood celebrities this year, it will be Katrina Kaif and Ranveer Singh spreading their charm along with Jacqueline Fernadez and Yo Yo Honey Singh. Speaking about his performance Ranveer said, “My act will honour the spirit of cricket and victory. I want to dedicate this performance to all the cricket fans across the world.”

The new season of the IPL will be telecast live in 32 countries on Sony Max and Sony Six from 7:30pm onwards.
