Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Simmba’ faces legal trouble; Read Details

Ranveer Singh got married to the love of his life Deepika Padukone today in Italy’s Lake Como. The picturesque venue was befitting for the occasion. Ranveer Singh amid all this personal glory and happiness is also an actor! Now, reports are emerging that his next masala venture ‘Simmba‘ is embroiled in some sort of legal trouble.

As per the report appearing in news18.com website, A plea has been filed against the movie for the infringement of the trademark of a Chhattisgarh-based beverage company, Sona Beverages. The Delhi High Court has sought a response from the makers of the film.

The beverage company that owns a brand titled ‘Simba’ has sent a notice to the makers of ‘Simmba‘. The court has asked the two parties to come to an arrangement amicably. Otherwise, the matter will be heard on December 4, 2018.

It is not new for any film to get into trouble due to legal reasons. ‘Simmba’ is being helmed by Rohit Shetty and will also see Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan in the lead role. Ranveer Singh, though is busy enjoying his wedding and rightly so!

‘Simmba’s trailer will be launched on December 3, 2018. Hopefully, makers of the film sort out the issue and we can see Ranveer Singh showing his swag in his first film after marriage. The film hits screens on December 28, 2018.
