Netflix has announced that Dhurandhar will return with a new OTT version featuring footage not included in the original theatrical release. The second instalment of the action thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already generated excitement overseas following its digital debut, and now the franchise is making headlines again. Netflix revealed that an extended ‘Raw and Undekha’ cut of the first film, starring Ranveer Singh, will soon be available for streaming on their platform. While the announcement has thrilled fans, it has also caused some confusion online.

Dhurandhar To Return On Netflix Confuses Fans Awaiting Sequel Release

The streaming service shared the update on social media, revealing that the first film will be re-released with a new OTT cut showcasing additional footage. They posted a new poster of the film ahead of the release, stating that the ‘Raw & Undekha’ version of Dhurandhar will premiere on May 22 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The caption read, “Aandhi aa rahi hai. Aur iss baar, extra ghatak. Watch Dhurandhar Raw & Undekha, out 22 May in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Netflix.”

The announcement has sent fans into a frenzy, eager to see the unseen scenes from the film. However, it has also sparked some confusion, with many wondering if the second instalment will also be available on Netflix. Dhurandhar: The Revenge was released internationally on Netflix on May 14. The second part is scheduled to premiere in India on JioHotstar on June 4.

About The Dhurandhar Franchise

Dhurandhar was released in theatres on December 5, 2025, followed by Dhurandhar 2 on March 19 this year. The film features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R Madhavan. Also seen were Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Danish Pandor. The first film grossed Rs 1307 crore worldwide, while the sequel has surpassed Rs 1790 crore. Both movies are directed by Aditya Dhar.

The story follows Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza Ali Mazari. He is sent to Lyari in Pakistan with the mission to dismantle a terror group. He infiltrates a Baloch gang, marries the daughter of a Lyari politician, and integrates into local society to accomplish his goal.
