Richa Chadha files defamation suit against Payal Ghosh and Kamaal R Khan

Richa Chadha had previously sent a notice to actress Payal Ghosh for dragging her name while accusing filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct. According to the latest reports, Richa has now filed a defamation suit against Payal and Kamaal R Khan(KRK) for making defamatory statements against her.

The ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ actress has also sought hefty sum in damages from them.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Richa has filed a defamation suit against Payal, KRK and a news channel before Bombay High Court for making defamatory statements against her. The actress has also sought Rs. 1.1 crores in damages.

Richa has even requested the court to restrain the aforementioned people and others from making any further defamatory statements against her in the future. Apart from that, she has also sought removal of defamatory videos and tweets and has demanded an apology on Twitter and other websites.

In her suit, Richa mentioned that defamatory statements were made against her despite sending the legal notice. Payal had named Richa in her interviews while talking about Kashyap’s alleged sexual misconduct. In her interview, Payal had claimed that Anurag had told her that actresses like Richa and others have performed sexual favours for him.

Apparently, KRK not only shared Payal’s interviews but also made defamatory comments to it. Richa filed the suit through her advocate Saveena Bedi Sachar and accused Payal and KRK of ruining her hard-earned reputation for publicity.
