RIP Rishi Kapoor: Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Rajnath Singh mourn the actor’s death

Just when the entire nation was grieving the death of Irrfan Khan, here comes yet another blow to the Hindi film industry, actor Rishi Kapoor died at the age of 67. The news of his death was confirmed by Amitabh Bachchan. Several Bollywood celebs mourned the veteran actor’s death on social media. Eminent sports personalities and politicians also offered condolences to the late’s actors family and friends.

Everyone right from Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi, to Sharad Pawar mourned the actor’s death.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “This is a terrible week for Indian cinema, with the passing of another legend, actor Rishi Kapoor. A wonderful actor, with a huge fan following across generations, he will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family, friends & fans all over the world, at this time of grief.(sic)”

Delhi’s Cheif Minister Arvind Kejriwal also expressed his shock over the veteran actor’s death. “Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of actor Rishi Kapoor. He entertained several generations of Indians throughout his career. What a terrible loss.. My condolences to the grieving family. May God bless his soul,” he wrote.

Rishi was battling cancer for the last few years. He was suffering from Leukaemia.
