Rohit Shetty shares a BIG update on Ajay Devgn starrer Golmaal 5 and Singham 3

Rohit Shetty, who returns as a host for Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, spilled the beans on his upcoming directorial projects, Golmaal 5 and Singham 3.

Golmaal is one of the hit franchises in Hindi cinemas. Golmaal: Fun Unlimited by Rohit Shetty was released in 2016 and it featured Sharman Joshi, Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor. Post that, Rohit went on to direct three Golmaal sequels – Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, and Golmaal Again. The last Golmaal film was released in 2017. Since then, fans have been waiting for an update on Golmaal 5. Now, in a recent interview, Rohit Shetty spilled the beans on his upcoming film.

In an interview with India Today, Rohit Shetty confirmed that Ajay Devgn starrer Golmaal 5 is on the cards, but added that his entire focus will now be on Singham 3. The filmmaker said, “It is such a co-incidence, but my last ‘Singham’ release was in 2014 and that was also the first season I hosted for Khatron Ke Khiladi. This time around, I have wrapped the season of KKK shoot and will next dive into ‘Singham 3’.”

Rohit added, “Right now, all our focus is on prepping for ‘Singham’ and then begin shooting for it in the next 2-3 months. For the next year, all my focus and energy are on that. Only after that, will we think of other projects, but yes, definitely ‘Golmaal 5’ is on the cards.”

The third instalment of the Singham franchise, starring Ajay Devgn, will be reportedly releasing next year. For the uninitiated, Deepika Padukone is also a part of the film. Deepika joined the cop universe last year. At the Current Laga Re music launch, Rohit had revealed that Deepika will be playing Lady Singham in his upcoming film. He had said, “Everyone kept asking me who is the lady cop in my universe. So today, let me confirm that Deepika Padukone will be the lady Singham, the lady cop in Singham 3.”

Well, we can’t wait for Singham 3 as well as Golmaal 5. On the other hand, Rohit Shetty is returning as a host for Khatron Ke Khiladi season 8 which starts from today i.e. 15^th July, 2023.
