Ronit Roy has issued a serious warning after discovering that scammers are allegedly misusing his identity online to target people, especially women, and ask them for money. The actor took to social media to alert fans about the impersonation scam. And confirmed that legal action is already underway against those involved. Ronit Roy Exposes Scamsters Using His Name To Ask Fans For Money Online
On Thursday, Ronit Roy posted a detailed note on Instagram, revealing that an unidentified individual has allegedly been contacting people while pretending to be him. According to the actor, the scammer has been asking for money and attempting to arrange bookings using his name.
Sharing details of the alleged fraud publicly, Ronit even disclosed the phone number and email ID reportedly being used by the impersonator. He also made it clear that neither he nor his team would ever contact anyone asking for money or personal favours.
The actor wrote in the post, “Be very careful of people using celebrities identities to fool people and take advantage of them. In case you come across such instances it’s always a good idea to bring it to the celebrities notice. Me nor my representatives will ever reach out asking for money or for any such favors.” (sic)
He further warned the culprits and assured followers that authorities are handling the matter. In his note, Ronit wrote, “WARNING!!!! It has come to my notice that someone has been using my name and reaching out to people, especially girls and asking for money. This person has been trying to take bookings in my name. The number involved is a Zangi number 3318085685 The email id being used is ronitroybookings@hotmail.com. Everyone be careful. As for the perpetrator…..‘cops are coming for you’.”

The actor also clarified that he would never contact women privately through social media platforms or ask anyone for financial help. “Please note, I will never approach women on social network or otherwise. Obviously I will never ask anyone for money. If y’all come across anyone like that please bring it to my notice immediately,” he added.
Along with the warning, Ronit also shared screenshots of chats allegedly showing the accused asking people for money while impersonating him online. Soon after, several fans reacted to the post and praised the actor for raising awareness about online scams and identity misuse.
One user commented, “That’s crazy some people will do anything to make money stay safe people,” while another wrote, “People know you will never demand money for engagement and on social network. So don’t worry, we are not going to be fool. You be KD Pathak and solve this mystery.” Another social media user reacted, “Oh God .. That’s Scary .. must punish the culprits.”
On the work front, Ronit was recently seen in the film Maa alongside Kajol and Indraneil Sengupta. Ajay Devgn produced the film. He also featured in the television series Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan.
