Saif Ali Khan shared that he feels grateful for the stability he now enjoys in his relationship. He explained that being on the same page with his partner has made a significant difference in his life today. “I am very lucky that my wife and I have been on the same page,” he said, adding that he hasn’t always been as settled or happy in relationships earlier in life.

He further reflected on how maturity and Kareena’s supportive nature helped build a strong foundation for their marriage. He said, “Relationship-wise I have not always been lucky or settled or super happy, but I am today for various reasons, my maturity, as well as the kindness and understanding of my partner.”

Saif Ali Khan Admits He Can Be Emotionally Needy

While discussing emotional expectations in relationships, Saif acknowledged that childhood experiences can shape how people behave with their partners. He noted that these insecurities sometimes influence how much emotional support a person seeks. Adding, “I can be emotionally needy but it depends… because of the conditioning and the relationship we had with our parents. In a relationship, sometimes your partner helps deal with those issues.”

At the same time, the actor emphasised that confidence and personal contentment play an important role in maintaining balance in a relationship. He said, “If I am confident and happy in the space I am in, then I am not needy. But I still like a certain amount of attention and affection; otherwise, why am I here?”

Saif also explained that he does not view marriage as a simple partnership where two people merely coexist. He said, “I find myself happy in a relationship where both of us want a little bit more. There has to be a certain level of affection, intimacy, something special about the two of you being together and then you can share that with kids.”

Through his reflections, Saif highlighted how emotional understanding, mutual respect, and shared values contribute to a fulfilling marriage. His candid remarks also revealed how his perspective on relationships has evolved with time and experience.
