Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan is one of the biggest superstars in Bollywood. The actor has been ruling the industry for more than five decades now and has delivered numerous hits in his filmy career. Even at this age, the actor is ensuring to entertain the audience and deliver some incredible films. However, actor Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan who has previously worked with Big B in several movies thinks that the Piku actor should take a graceful retirement now as he has achieved a lot and should free himself from the race.

Salim Khan told Dainik Bhaskar in an interview, “Amitabh Bachchan should retire now. He has achieved all that he had to in this life. One should keep a few years of life for oneself as well. Amitabh Bachchan has played a brilliant innings professionally. He has done good work so he must free himself from the race. He must take a graceful retirement.

As per Salim, he thinks that usually, a person spends their life studying, learning, taking care of the family, hence retirement should be for oneself. “For example, my world is limited now. All the people I go on walks with are from non-filmy backgrounds,” he added.

The writer also said, “Amitabh Bachchan was the hero who could play an angry young man, he still is. However, there are no stories for an actor like Amitabh now. Our films have improved technically, the music and action have improved but we do not have good scripts.”

Salim Khan and Big B have worked in Zanjeer, Sholay, Don, Trishul, Kaala Patthar, Dostana and many more.

Meanwhile, work-wise, Amitabh has some lucrative films in his pipeline. He will be next seen in Brahmastra, Jhund, Mayday, The Intern, Uunchai and Nag Ashwin’s next.
