Bollywood star Salman Khan is currently in Ladakh shooting for his upcoming movie Battle of Galwan. During his stay, he paid a friendly visit to the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, at Raj Niwas in Leh on Saturday, September 13.
Salman Khan Meets Ladakh LG Kavinder Gupta
Salman Khan wore a blue shirt and jeans for the visit. He looked relaxed and happy as he met with the LG. During the meeting, he received a special gift, a traditional Thangka painting showing scenes from the life of Buddha. This artwork is a part of Ladakh’s rich Buddhist culture.
Photos from the meeting were shared by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. The post mentioned that Salman Khan had paid a courtesy visit and included pictures of the actor with the LG.
Battle of Galwan Begins Shooting
Salman shared on social media that he has started filming Battle of Galwan. In the photo, he is seen in a military uniform with a serious look, showing his character’s strong and patriotic side. The film is based on the real 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers. It is directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Salman will play the role of Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu.
The cast also includes Chitrangda Singh, who is working with Salman for the first time, along with Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Harshil Shah, Heera Sohall, Abhilash Chaudhary, and Vipin Bhardwaj.
Salman’s Work Front
Before this, Salman was seen in the film Sikandar, released in March. The film featured a big cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi.
