Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon to star in a comedy-drama after KGF Chapter 2?

Actors Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon were a hot thing onscreen back in the 90s. They have already shared the screen space in several movies and now the two are coming back together after a hiatus in KGF Chapter 2 where Raveena will essay the role of Ramika Sen whereas Sanjay will play the antagonist Adheera. Having said that, according to the latest reports, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon are set to come back together but this time for a comedy-drama. 

According to a report published in Mid Day, the comedy-drama will be helmed by a new director. “The film, being bankrolled by a leading studio, was at the ideation stage at the time. On seeing the picture, the makers thought they would be the perfect choice for the comedy. They reached out to the actors who were kicked about working together again,” a source was quoted saying. The source also added that the stars are yet to sign the project as the final draft is underway. 

Reportedly, the makers are planning to make the announcement for the movie in February. For the unversed, Raveena and Sanjay have worked together in movies like Kshatriya, Aatish, Vijeta and others. As the two are going to be seen in the KGF sequel after a long time, Tandon told News 18, “Sanjay and I thought we would have a blast on the sets just like old times but sadly we don’t share screen space in the film. Our shooting schedules also never overlapped. In fact, we requested Prashant if something could be worked out but I the script didn’t have room for it.”

For quite some time, it was reported that Raveena will be essaying the role of Indira Gandhi in the film but she has denied all the rumours saying, “There is nothing about Indira Gandhiji in this movie. Neither is my look like her nor is my character inspired by her.”

Meanwhile, back in 2017, Aranyak had shared some throwback pictures with the Munna Bhai MBBS actor and said that he is her most favourite actor.
