Shahid Kapoor Reacts To His Much-Hyped Reunion With Kareena Kapoor At IIFA 2025, Says, “For Us, It’s Nothing New”

Bollywood celebrities flew down to Jaipur to attend the 2025 IIFA Digital Awards last night. As the stars descended on the green carpet, they not only flaunted their looks but also interacted with the media there. The highlight of IIFA 2025 Day 1 was undoubtedly exes Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor’s reunion. While it had sent fans into frenzy, the Deva actor reacted to the moment.

Speaking on the green carpet of the IIFA Digital Awards, the Kabir Singh star was asked about the much-hyped reunion. “For us, it’s nothing new. Aaj stage par mile, aur idhar udhar milte rehte hain (We met on stage today, and we keep running into each other here and there), toh it’s totally normal for us. If people felt nice, it’s nice,” he told the media.

For those unversed, when the press conference of IIFA 2025 took place, Shahid and Kareena were seen sharing stage space. The former couple exchanged laugh and shared a warm hug as they graciously greeted each other. The glimpses gave major nostalgia vibes with fans remembering their Jab We Met moments and demanding the sequel with OG Geet and Aditya.

Talking about the 25th edition of IIFA Awards, it is being held in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Digital award ceremony happened on Saturday (8th March) where top OTT performers were felicitated. On Sunday, both Shahid and Kareena will set the stage on fire with their electrifying performances. While Shahid will groove to his hit songs, the audience will see Kareena paying tribute to her grandfather and legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor.
