Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra is all set to make his acting debut with his own biopic titled UT69. The upcoming movie of Raj Kundra will tell a story of his tenure in jail when he was arrested in 2021 for the alleged creation and distribution of pornographic content. UT69 is a satirical project that will showcase the personal experiences of Raj Kundra during his time in jail. Now, Raj has opened up about his biopic and has stated that it was not planned to create a movie on his jail experience.

Raj Kundra speaks up about his biopic UT69

Raj Kundra got into a chat with ANI and opened up about his biopic UT69. During the chat, he said that he had no plans on creating a movie on the same. He was in jail for 63 days and during that period, he was writing a book. During this, the director of UT69, Shahnawaz Ali took notes about it. After this, Shahnawaz returned with a writer and expressed that he would like to create a movie out of it. But, they would create this project only if Raj Kundra would play the lead role in it. Eventually, Raj agreed and he also underwent a workshop to learn a few acting skills.

During the same conversation, Shahnawaz Ali also stated that Raj Kundra is an amazing actor. He added that he wouldn’t have asked for a better script, better story, or a better actor to act in it.

Speaking about Raj Kundra’s UT69, filmmaker Farah Khan Kunder and comedian Munawar Faruqui had dropped hints about creating a biopic on Raj Kundra. They had successfully raised curiosity among the netizens as to what the movie would be about. Until a week ago, Raj Kundra took to his Instagram handle and dropped the trailer of the ‘inside story’. With this, he settled down the curiosity of netizens.

On this note, Raj Kundra starrer biopic UT69 is slated to hit the theatres on November 3, 2023.
