Actress Shilpa Shetty is all set to make her comeback in Kannada cinema after 18 years in the much-awaited film KD – The Devil. Shilpa shared that she had a serious injury while working with Rohit Shetty in Indian Police Force. Due to this injury, she was advised to rest and was planning to say no to the film KD The Devil. However, things changed after she heard the script.
Shilpa Shetty Opens Up On Saying ‘YES’ To KD -The Devil Despite Injury
Shilpa said, “Mai ye nahi karna chahati thi kyuki us waqt mei bouth zyada kaam kar rahi. Then I had an injury, Rohit Shetty ke liye action kar ke facture ho gaya tha. I had some time at home. Prem (director) was very clear that he wanted me to do Satyavathi, and because he was so insistent, my manager said yes to the narration.”
She added, “Main wheelchair par thi, jab unhone narrate kiya, I almost forgot about my fracture during the interval time. I said, ‘mujhe ye picture karni hai bas ye ek scene ke liye.’ Then I heard the entire story, and I said yes to playing the role of Satyavathi.”
She felt that the role was powerful and exciting, and she didn’t want to miss the chance to play such a strong character on-screen. Furthermore, she also said, “My character Sativati is an ode to my mother. The way she used to wear a saree and get ready.”
Even though she was injured, her love for the role made her go ahead with the film. Shilpa will be seen doing action in the movie and is excited to show fans a different side of her.
