Shilpa Shirodkar becomes the first Bollywood actress to get Covid-19 vaccine- view pic

The Coronavirus induced pandemic brought everyone’s life to a standstill. After a year we finally have the vaccines and obviously, everyone is looking forward to getting medication to stop this deadly virus.

While in India, the roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines hasn’t started yet, actress Shilpa Shirodkar,  who lives in Dubai, has already received her vaccine. Yes, the actress took to her social media handle to share the news with her fans and followers.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Shilpa shared her selfie in which she can be seen wearing a mask. Also noticeable in the picture is the small bandage on her left upper arm. Revealing about her Covid vaccination, Shilpa captioned the picture as, “Vaccinated and safe !! The new normal .. here I come 2021 ❤️ Thank you UAE ??❤️(sic).”

Commenting on Shilpa’s post her sister and former actress Namrata Shirodkar wrote, “Good girl.” 

Dubai began administering Pfizer-BioNTech’s vaccine from the last week of December. Meanwhile, according to ANI, India’s Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said today, “In the next few days, in the near future, we should be able to give these vaccines to our countrymen. It will be given to our healthcare professional followed by frontline workers.”

Coming back to Shilpa, she was one of the celebrated actresses of the 90s. She has films like ‘Khuda Gawah’, ‘Aankhen’, ‘Pehchaan’, ‘Gopi Kishan’, ‘Bewafa Sanam’, ‘Mrityudand’, ‘Trinetra’ to her credit. She even featured the show ‘Ek Mutthi Aasmaan’. South’s superstar Mahesh Babu is Shilpa’s brother-in-law.

After marrying UK based banker Aparesh Ranjit in 2000, Shilpa shifted base from India. She is currently living in Dubai with her husband and daughter.
