Bollywood is currently going through a season of biopics and the year 2019 has seen quite a few of them already. Sidharth Malhotra in recent times has been going through a rough patch in terms of hits at the box-office. Now, Sidharth’s biopic on the life Kargil hero Vikram Batra has got a title. The film has been titled as ‘Shershaah’. Yes, you have read it right!

Karan Johar took to his Twitter account and shared the news. KJo also mentioned that the shoot of the film will begin very soon.

‘Shershaah’ is based on an inspiring story of Captain Vikram Batra, who was an Indian Army officer martyred in the Kargil War at the age of 24. He was posthumously also awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military honour, on Independence Day in 1999. The film will deal with bravery and valour of Captain Batra.

‘Shershaah’ is being directed by Vishnu Varadhan and produced by Karan Johar and Shabbir Boxwala. ‘Shershaah’ also stars Kiara Advani and is aiming for an early 2020 release. This drama would be quite fascinating to watch and it will also instill a sense of patriotism.
