Singer Mika Singh supports Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh

Self-proclaimed Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insaan has been in severe trouble as he has been arrested on rape charges. He has been accused of raping female devotees and threatening them to stay silent. He has even threatened them that if they ever speak up, he would kill their family members. Apart from that, he has also been accused of killing ex-manager Fakir Chand. Then, he has also been charged for ordering mass castration of 400 male devotees. As today, the verdict is set to be pronounced, Bollywood celebs have chosen to stay mum on the matter. However, it’s quite shocking to see singer Mika Singh lend his support to the man. He has tweeted, “My best wishes to @Gurmeetramrahim bhaaji .. I hope the court will make the right decision. The greatest thing is he went on time?..” [sic]

This tweet by the singer has indeed shocked many on Twitter. It is indeed strange that inspite of such grave charges against the man, singer Mika Singh continues to lend his support to Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

Earlier, actress Twinkle Khanna had tweeted, “Our fault Babas exist as we turn towards them like silly sunflowers looking for the sun,forgetting that a halo is just a trick of the light!” [sic] The actress who has always been vocal about her opinions on vivid topics received thumbs up from people who are strongly against Gurmeet Ram Rahim, but she also received flak from supporters of Baba.

Recently, the shooting of Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal movie ‘Raazi’ came to a halt due to protests by his followers in Patiala and Punjab which resulted into the death of some people. We hope the verdict is justified and doesn’t create more problems for the common people, especially those residing in Punjab.
