Actor Sonam Kapoor and her businessman husband, Anand Ahuja’s New Delhi residence was reportedly robbed. According to reports, cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.41 crore was stolen. As per a report in a news portal, the mother-in-law of Sonam Kapoor lodged a complaint at the Tughlaq Road police station about the robbery. The Delhi Police officials immediately started the investigation. The residence is located at Amrita Shergill Marg and Sonam’s in-laws Harish Ahuja, and Priya Ahuja and Anand’s grandmother Sarla Ahuja stay there.

As per ABP News Marathi, Sonam and Anand’s staff are being questioned and the police is questioning 25 employees besides 9 caretakers, drivers, gardeners and other workers. They are also going through the CCTV footage of the apartment from the past year to identify any suspects in the case. FSL is also involved in collecting the evidence from the crime scene. The robbery is said to have taken place in February but was kept under the wraps as it was high profile case.

Sarla Ahuja, in her complaint, claimed that she got to know about the robbery on February 11 when she checked her cupboards for jewellery and cash. She informed the police that it was 2 years ago she last checked the jewellery. The complaint was lodged on February 23.

Sonam and Anand are yet to comment on the matter.

Meanwhile, the couple is expecting their first child together. It was recently they announced the pregnancy news on social media. They will welcome their baby in Fall 2022. Sonam made the announcement by sharing pictures of her, flaunting her baby bump, on Instagram. She shared photos of her with her husband, Anand.
