Sonu Nigam

Twitter is a medium where anyone can share their opinion, good or bad, but unfortunately, this medium of expression is turning into a battle ground. Critics and trolls are always the front runners and not a single person is spared of their outrageous comments. The recent one to receive the flak is singer Sonu Nigam.

He commented something on Azaan and forced religion, and there you go, hatred started pouring in for him. The matter has reached to a level that the singer now has an FIR lodged against him. Religion is a very delicate topic to talk about in this country and this is something that Sonu Nigam, perhaps, forgot!

So now an FIR has been lodged against him in a police station of Aurangabad. Here’s the official copy of the FIR.

Apart from this, we also got to know that the security around his house has been beefed up following this controversy. A fatwa was passed against Sonu with Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi, vice president, West Bengal Minority United Council stating, “If anyone can shave his (Sonu Nigam’s) hair, put a garland of old torn shoes around his neck and tour him around the country I personally announce an award of Rs 10 lakh for that person,”

To this, Sonu responded on Twitter and said,

We hope the issue gets solved soon. (Also Read: Dear Sonu Nigam, if Azaan is ‘Gundagardi’, why not Akhand Ramayan?)
