Sonu Sood has been making headlines for his humanitarian work. He was called a messiah after he helped migrants return home in the Covid-19 lockdown. But, looks like things are not looking good for him as Sonu has found himself in legal issues. The actor has recently received a notice from BMC regarding an illegal construction at his Juhu residence. But, Sonu later filed a plea in High Court requesting to quash or grant interim relief in this case. But the plea was rejected by the High Court. So, Sonu has decided to move to the Supreme Court reportedly.

According to a report by IANS, Sonu’s advocate Vineet Dhanda revealed that Sood has decided to challenge HC’s rejection. Dhanda said, “Key grounds to challenge the High Court order are that it was projected by BMC that he is not the owner of the property. Though, he has been issued notice as an owner and occupier.”

Vineet also said that the case is an attempt at tarnishing Sonu Sood’s image, he said, “Some harsh terms have been used against his client that he is a habitual offender. This is too harsh on him and his image is being tarnished.”

Further, apparently, the Happy New Year actor has asked the BMC to give them 10 weeks after a notice was issued to him. Meanwhile, in the plea, Sonu had mentioned that there is no illegal construction being carried out by him. According to reports, the BMC has said that Sood carried out changes on the sixth floor of his residential building. It is said that Sonu had converted a section of his house into a hotel without taking any permissions.
