The cause Sushant Singh Rajput’s death is the biggest question the entire nation wants an answer for. The 34-year-old actor died on June 14 and currently the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are jointly investigating his death case.

After Sushant’s family filed an FIR against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, the actress too had filed an FIR against the late actor’s sisters- Priyanka, Meetu Singh and a doctor for illegally prescribing medicines containing psychotropic substances, without a consultation.

Now according to a report in India Today, Sushant’s sisters have requested Bombay High Court for early hearing of their petition to quash the FIR filed against them by Rhea. Reportedly SSR’s sisters are fearing arrest by CBI and hence they are requesting for early hearing.

Rhea in her FIR has stated that Sushant died a week after he took medicines on his sister’s advice. The actress also accused Sushant’s sister and a Delhi doctor of illegally prescribing medicines without consultation.

The India Today report further says that when division bench of Justice SS Shinde and Justice MS Karni asked about the urgency of hearing, the sisters’ advocate Madhav Thorat said that as an FIR has been registered against them they have become an accused so they fear they could be arrested at any moment by the CBI. The court has now asked CBI and Mumbai Police, to file their reply to the sisters’ petition by Wednesday and the hearing will now take place on November 4.

A part of the Sushant’s sister’s petition reads, “A bare perusal of the complaint along with the FIR shows that the statements made there do not make out any cognisable offence. The lodging of the complaint by Chakraborty was nothing but a feeble attempt on her part to scuttle the investigations against her and blame Rajput’s family members for his suicide, as she was on the verge of being arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).”

Rhea’s FIR against Sushant’s sister was filed by the Bandra police and later transferred to the CBI. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old actress’ lawyer in their reply to Sushant’s sister’s petition has said, “Sushant was very much in Mumbai, Maharashtra and not in New Delhi. That is also surprising that Dr Tarun Kumar being a Cardiologist thought it is fit to prescribe medications to a person he did not know and had never met with Psychotropic substances. There is nothing to indicate that there was ever any teleconference held between Sushant and the accused doctor.”
