‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ was announced back in 2017. Now according to ETimes report, Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan has revealed that the film isn’t shelved and that it was just put on the backburner as he was grappling with the demise of his dear friend, Sushant.

Sanjay also said that he is planning to revive the dream project of Sushant as a tribute to him. However, it will take some time because he is busy finishing the scripting. The filmmaker also said that it will be difficult to cast anyone in Sushant’s place.

A year after announcing ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’, Sushant had opted out of the film citing date issues. The actor was supposed to play an astronaut in the film and as a part of his prep for the role, he had also taken training in NASA. The actor was planning to make his own space film.
